I've captured some video for a friend's football team at 640x480 30fps HQ using my HD1. Now I'd like to create a DVD for the team.
Currently I have access to a local college's A/V lab that has Adobe Premiere 2.0, Adobe After Effects 7.0, and Adobe Encore DVD 2.0.
I should preface this by saying that I'm a video-editing neophyte.

This is my current workflow:
1. Convert .mp4 to .mov using Quicktime Pro.
2. Import .mov into Adobe After Effects 7.0 and stretch the 640x480 SD footage to 720x480.
3. Export an .avi using the high quality (no compression) - This takes a very long time!
4. Import the .avi into Adobe Encore DVD 2.0.
5. Create DVD and burn.

I would like to know if anyone else is using a similar workflow or if there is a better workflow? It takes a very long time to convert the SD 640x480 into 720x480 that Encore DVD requires.
Is there a faster program that will do the scaling without significant quality loss?
Is there a faster way to go from HD1 to DVD?
Is there a way to do batch resizing and exporting to .avi?

Thanks, I've found DVInfo to be very informative!
