This is the trailer for a pilot of a possible new series. Everything was shot on the HD100. The file has been converted to a Flash movie for bandwidth reasons, but it still looks pretty decent, I think.

The story looks promising. What in my opinion could be improved in the trailer is the sound mix and the colour correction.

It's hard to tell in a trailer like this, but the acting looks very good, the actors look as though they can do a professional level job.

The video looks good to me. It is impossible for me to tell on the computer the quality of video, the color, etc. Some of the clips that people rave about look absolutely horrible on my computer.

Regarding the trailer, it doesn't work for me, but the material is all there.

It needs to have points of focus, tell a story, etc.

Exactly what are you selling in the trailer. Are you introducing me to the characters? Then give them to me one at a time, perhaps with a graphic or effect, and a voice over, with some key lines or scene bits to point out the character.

Are you selling the story lines.... check out the weekly trailers for Desperate Housewives.

Is there a theme or set of themes the series explores? Set them up and introduce the characters in ways that sets up a conflict or problem that will make me watch.

But going back to the acting, I thinkthe actors have the skill/talent to pull off what you want and make it believable, and I think it generally looks good.

I found the trailer to be a tad bit too long and descriptive, maybe try and trim down and leave some questions

Thanks for the feedback, folks. Very helpful. The purpose behind what I'm doing is here: http://www.fullquiverproductions.com/mission.htm. I'm aiming for a very specific audience here, which is why the trailer was built the way it is. So far, the trailer has been very well received at numerous showings in Baltimore. As for the colors, that is mostly a function of the Flash conversion. As for sound, can you give me an example of what you mean? I didn't notice anything that really bothered me, or I would have fixed it before finishing the trailer.

I found the music's volume to be very intrussive during some parts of the dialogue. I would try to adjust the music's volume according to what's happening on the dialogue track.

Besides that, it looks very interesting and it's hard not to admire the effort you put in it.
