Philips recently unveiled new technology of theirs called Lumalive, which is fabric with LEDs inside that can change images. Check out the Youtube video:

What do you think, will this technology take off as an advertising medium? That certainly seems to be the idea Philips is trying to push. If I saw someone walking down the street with a shirt like that I'd look at it, but I don't know how effective it would be to sell a product.

That's very cool! As a scene designer I can think of all kinds of stuff I could do with that.

I bet it will take off. I really wonder what and where the processor is that changes the images. Also where the battery is and if it's water proof.

There needs to be a howstuffworks.com article on this.
