I'm going to be purchasing an Advanta-jib Lite and was wondering if anyone has any comments in regards to choosing a solid tripod for it. Dykortech recommends the Manfrotto 528X (load capacity = 66 lbs.) but I'd like to get some feedback before I shell out the money for it.
Are there any shortcomings worth noting for this tripod, or are there any other tripods in the ballpark of this price range ($620) that blow this model out of the water?
Another question... If I went with the 528X, would the Manfrotto 3067 dolly (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=details_accessories&A=details&Q=&sku=5323&is=REG&addedTroughValue=290858_REG&addedTroughType=accessory_detail) be able to handle the weight of the tripod and jib without any problems? I looked on B&H and the manufacturers website but didn't see anything regarding weight/load capacity. The Dykortech website recommends a Manfrotto "314" dolly but I did a search for that and couldn't find anything at all to do with a dolly.
thanks,
Mike
