I went and bought a HD110E. I thought long and hard about the HD111E, but couldn't justify the DV input. It may be more restrictive, but since I am going to be using for weddings etc and not needing to synch timecodes. All my footage will be stored on Hard Drives.

Anyway my initial thoughts are its an awsome camera and I have a LOT to learn! Cant wait to take it outside and shoot some real footage instead of in my study :)

Thanks to all on this forum for posting the right questions ;) and the footage.

Now if only I could work out how to use the user settings heheh. Back to the bedtime reading ;)

Cheers n beers

Why don't the euro versions have DV in like the USA models?

then they are classified as VCRs and attract additional heavy tax's

Fortunately this doesn't happen in Australia so we only get the likes of the 111E at no real cost penalty.
