View Full Version : Stephen Colbert Green Screen Contest
Rick Schultz August 25th, 2006, 03:36 PM The Colbert Report on Comedy Central has started a contest. It is called the green screen challenge.
He gives you about a minute or two of footage. He's rolling and jumoing around in front of a green screen swinging a light saber. He asked his audience to do some fun composites and send them to his show. He has already aired a couple of them in the last couple days.
Well, I did a Star Wars / Ghostbusters crossover. It is on posted on You Tube.
Please take a minute to check it out and vote for me if you like it.
"Stephen Colbert - The Conservative Ghostbuster" is a little further down the page. Please check it out and let me know what you think.
Rick Schultz August 25th, 2006, 09:48 PM Just checking for any feedback.
The footage of Colbert was provided. The rest was captured from DVD and cut and composited in Premiere Pro. It's the first time I have ever tried to use green screen footage and it was pretty fun to do.
There is something about using the stuff you are given in a creative way that is really cool. It makes you try to think outside of the box,
Frank Granovski August 26th, 2006, 12:41 AM That link takes me elsewhere. What is the exact link?
Glenn Davidson August 26th, 2006, 12:48 AM That link has been hacked, big time. It was OK earlier.
Glenn Davidson August 26th, 2006, 01:09 AM Do not open link! It is infected. My Mac has been hijacked for the first time. Damn!
Frank Granovski August 26th, 2006, 04:05 AM Glen, you have me scared and shaking. Oh, wait! I have 5 more 'puters that are clean. Only trouble is, they're operating on DOS.
Glenn Davidson August 26th, 2006, 10:31 AM That link went to GNAA. My desktop lit up like a pinball machine, hundreds of windows were opened before I did a hard boot. The Troll site likes to target OS X. Everything seems fine now.
Rick Schultz August 26th, 2006, 02:11 PM Yeah. The site was hacked last night ny gnaa. (see wikipedia for more info on them) Sorry about that.

Rick Schultz August 26th, 2006, 02:45 PM I don't think this is going to be any voting going on for a while, the site got hacked.
If you go to www.colbertnation.com you can download the original green screen footage to edit.
Dennis Khaye August 26th, 2006, 11:43 PM Your's is way better. Nice job fitting him into Ghostbusters instead of a Star Wars scene. It works really well.
