I just got the camera (HVX200 of course) and got confused with some features.

1) In Recording Setup menue, the top title is REC FORMAT where I can choose from 1080i/50i, 1080i/25p......576i/25p. the second title in the menue is 576i REC MODE where there is DVCPRO50 selected. So does this mean that whenever I choose 1080i/50i, 25p or any of 720p I record to DVCPRO HD format? and secod title 576i REC MODE, which is set to DVCPRO50 doesn't have to do with it at all, it is just for SD recording?

2) What is the workflow? I recorded the material to P2 cards, I connected with firewire to my G5. and so I see the content of P2 cards in my Finder, but the file is MXF, how do I transfer it to start editing?

3) Is there a function to flip the LED? or a viewfinder? To use with MICRO35.

I know that all these question might have been covered already but I am not sure I could find exact answers.

Levan in my brief hands on experience. You copy over the entire folder from the p2 card to the HDD, even the unimportant looking text file.

Next you fire up final cut, (assuming your using that), and go ,file, import p2, its that easy!

Make sure you easy setup fnal cut to whatever format your using before hand.

Oh, and back up those files to dvd ASAP.

Exactly.

No.
