Item Description:
Perfect Camcorder, no damage, no repair.

I wonder if he is trying to pawn off his mod-gone-wrong onto someone else...

This first pic has to be a photoslop job:

I just remebered where I saw this...

So it's either actually this camera, or the seller has cut and pasted that picture to make people think he's got a B4 lens mount....

Just a friendly note, I had batted around the idea of buying a used cam on eBay as well. And one of the nasty tricks I've seen is a lot of people rip photos from someone else's listing as their own. And I can say for a fact I saw another listing that has the exact same photo as the image in the top right. Additionally, I would be really really wary of buying something on eBay for $2k+ from a seller with no rating.

I'm with Sam on the bayonet photoshop deal too. It's such a crap job, look at the edging underneath the forward handle. That's a remarkably straight cut going from the top of the camera to the bottom - could only be a marquee cut. A real photo would have some z-depth distortion on the barrel.

I sent him a question if that first picture was an actual untouched photo of the camera and his short reponse "Yes it is" SCAAAAAAAAAAMMMMMMMMM

I just sent him another message asking if he could take a new photo of the camera with the mount sitting on today's news paper.

It's obvious the camera exists, it's just a question of whether or not the first picture is what he's selling, because he makes no mention of his mod to the camera in the item description. I saw this a while back too and wasn't surprised. Didn't Nick Bartleet do something similar with his FX1?

I asked him specifically about the first picture.

Okay, the bigger picture (hdve) doesn't look like a photoshop... the still camera was just dead-on with that edge, so it looks weird. The ebay listing is probably a scam though.

Wow. Obviously the image was pulled from somewhere else for the eBay listing, I'm just more shocked that they profile photo of the camera is legit. That edge just looks like a bogus photoshop seam of two images. Guess I need to eat my words...
