We are thinking about starting to go HD in our Mobile Production Van so I'm looking at the Panasonic AK-HC930 and 931 models. I'm leaning more towards the 930 since it has 2.2 mil pixels. My question is, under the Supplies and Accesories section (on the Panasonic website page) it lists a 720P card for it. Although, in the brochure it says the 720P is only on the 931. Which is right? The accessories list or the brochure.
Also, would it be to much of a difference if I went with the 931 and used a 720 to 1080 cross-convertor card; or would the 1.2 mil. pixel difference be to drastic of a difference from the 930? Although, I do want variable frame rates; but should I really sacrific that many pixels for the ability to do variable frame rates?
