Hi David,

Just wanted to pick your brain regarding color correction of 10 Bit Cineform Prospect AVIs.

Would the Premiere Pro 2.0 Color Correction tools (with the new 32-Bit internal color processing) perform just as well as Synthetic Aperture's Color Finesse for color correction?

I own both Premiere Pro 2.0 and Color Finesse 2, and while the Color Finesse interface offers a lot of high-end correction tools, I've found that Premiere's color correction tools offer a lot too - And the interface is bit more User Friendly.

Thanks,

Geoff Murillo

In terms of the quality of the math, curves etc., the quality is the same. If you can do the look you are after with the Adobe Color tools, in a timely manner, then you will not need Color Finesse. So it comes down to the flexibility of the controls with C.F. (which is huge) vs the ease/conveniences of using of the Adobe tools.
