Hi all,

I recently sent my HD1 in for servicing. It can be a bit of a challenge if you don't know the expected procedure.

First, although you will be directed to use a repair depot locator tool when you go to Sanyo's service centre, but they can't help you... at least not in Canada. You have to call Sanyo direct. When you do, they will ask for you to mail/courier the unit to their head office for repair. Include a description of the problem and a copy of the bill of sale. No RMA number is provided.

Since the procedure is so different from the norm, I thought I'd detail it in case yours ever needs service.

Here's hoping mine is back by the 29th! I've got a carnival to attend and I'll need the cam. Take care,
