Is it a bottom load camera. Haven't seen any photos of the bottom/ tripod mount etc so far.

I haven't seen it either, but it appears to be based on the Optura 600 chassis. The Optura 600 is a bottom loader, so my assumption is that the HV10 is a bottom loader also.

As said, it`s a bottom loader as pictured here (http://www.cinedof.eu/Canon_HV10_bottom.jpg)
