Has anyone come up with a good bleach bypass setting for the xl2? I have been trying to come up with something for the past few days but can't nail it down.

What is bleach bypass and what is it typically used for?

I know the camera so well I come up with them on the fly. The XL2 is a BREEZE compared to the Varicam which is the camera I use second most. I am pretty good on that one but you better plan 45 minutes of setup!

The problem with terms like "bleach bypass" is that they mean different things to different people. I like to go by grabs, even then, I cannot emulate the production value =o) but can help get close on color/contrast.

Most of the presets you have posted that I have used so far have helped me better understand the numerous setting on this camera and what they do so thanks!

Bleach bypass is where they skip a bleaching process of the film. Its supposed to retain silver in the images along with color. It basically looks like you super-imposed a black and white image on top of a color image. Its been used in movies like "Saving Private Ryan", "Seven", "Three Kings"...
