I just got my HC1e and I have no idea how to open up the aperature. Is the exposure=aperature/iris? Trying to do it manually so that the auto gain doesnt come in for night shots!

Evan Dowling July 25th, 2006, 10:01 AM If you set the manual exposure to 6 clicks from far right, the apeture will be fully open and no gain will be added. Any further to the right and you will begin adding gain. There is a great thread on here where someone made a little chart for us that shows the settings for each click on the manual exposure bar. Search for it and you will find it.
