I want to find a good price on a Sony VX2000. I came across this digital liquidators.com site through one of those "price grabber" type sites. They are selling it for 1649.00, is this a scam????

If it smells like a duck it probably is. Although the low price seems inviting, many times the y are gray market, are not new, could be PAL, (OK if that's what you are looking for), accessories missing, used, demo, OK but not if not disclosed,or could be the famous PRESALE. Pay now get it much later. Now that doesn't mean it is necessarily a scam, you might look them up at resellers.com or save the headache and get it from a legit source. B&H, Armatos, Al-Art. If you're going to buy off of EBAY, DO YOUR HOMEWORK! Be very careful and ALWAYS pay by credit card or escrow

Always check with ResellerRatings. It looks like this is a less-than-top-notch outfit (http://www.resellerratings.com/seller2375.html). The price search assistant sites are notorious for dredging-up some of the slimiest bottom-feeders on the Net.

Stick with top-notch dealers, such as our site's sponsors (http://www.dvinfo.net/sponsors/index.php). You'll be assured of getting a very competitive price and first-rate post-sales support.

You can also check out the Better Business Bureau too. Always look for a brick and motar address. Also read How Not To Scammed on Ebay (http://www.dvinfo.net/articles/buyersguide/ebay.php) at this site.

Using DVinfo sponsors is also good advice. These people know how to help professionals and charge reasonable prices too.

We're still looking for an authorized Sony dealer to help sponsor this DV Info Net community forum.
