Hey,

I'm looking for feedback for this video I shot a month ago: http://thinkmad.com/wretched/WSP_C2.mov

I'm fairly pleased with the results from the lenses.

The production values are great. It looks fantastic. I like the overall concept as well. And it was well executed.

--Here's a few things I didn't necessarily like:

1. I liked when the color initially splashes into the liquid (for blue, green, and red), however, I didn't like when you kept cutting to it as it flowed through it. Those parts seemed jarring and not in the flow of the video, to me.

2. It felt really odd that his level of emotion didn't match what was happening on stage. Upon a second viewing, it wasn't so jarring, but that's probably just cause I knew it was coming and was looking for a thematic way to justify it. Which, of course, there is, but it still felt a little odd. This, of course, is probably not undo-able, and totally subjective anyway.

3. Same thing for when he takes out the remote in the theater. I initially thought he was trying to change the channel or something, which doesn't seem like a good idea to support the music, being that it is a music video. I'm still unclear why he was doing that. It's a fairly muddled message that I don't think needs to be there.

4. Near the end, the theater part ends with a nice drone. But the cut to the bathroom door opening is a little abrupt. Maybe you could slowly fade out the drone and then let the bathroom door open. It just felt jarring.

Great job, though! It came out really really well!

Amazing video, loved it. Very David Lynchian. Gives me some inspiration. Has it aired anywhere?

Looks great! What lenses did you use? Did you use any special color correction techniques?
