Anyone using a tripod/head combo that works well for Hd-100? Have some big heavy things, but would like to have something a little lighter.

Just ordered a Vintin Pro 6, will let you know how it works. Lew Drew Curran July 20th, 2006, 09:07 AM I have a Manfrotto/Bogen 503 head and 055Pro pro tripod with the adjustable legs. The legs can b completely splayed out - good for low angle stuff. Its actually a pro SLR tripod, but it works for video also. The head is for video cameras. Andrew Brian Chow July 20th, 2006, 10:27 AM I have a manfrotto 503 head and 351mvb legs and also I have a Cartoni Focus head with single stage legs. I can't say enough about the Cartoni. Night and day compared to the 503. With the adjustable counterbalance, you can set the camera up so perfect. If you don't have the tripod plate, I would highly reccommend it. Brian Shai Camerini July 20th, 2006, 01:40 PM I use Cartoni Alfa tripod Jonathan Nelson July 20th, 2006, 02:05 PM I am looking for a good tripod/head system for my hd100s. This is the one on my radar(Sachtler DV-4II): http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=productlist&A=details&Q=&sku=383256&is=REG&addedTroughType=categoryNavigation Does this look like a good system? I kind of want to keep the price around 1k. |
