We just updated our website with a few shots from Prince Williams Sound in Alaska. There are several clips of eagles and a shot of an otter carrying a pup. All were shot 1080 24P and then exported from Avid using H.264. All shots were unstabilized from a boat, so they are rough. The original resolution is stunning, but exporting to long GOP compression for the web greatly reduces the image quality (even though they are still rather large files).

See http://www.redhawk-development.com/south_central_alaska.htm and check out the videos on the lower half of the page.

We are up here doing a project on Salmon Sharks (can't post that footage) this summer and next, but we will post B-reel stuff that we will not be using as we have time. It sure is beautiful up here, and the fishing is great.

Michael,

Just a note, I suspect that the files are to big and most people do not want to wait the time to down load them.

Perhaps you could attach some cool portions of your favorite clips.

Agreed Dale. The files are big, and even so give up quite a bit of quality relative to the source material. Even the shots which are only 10 seconds take over 30MB. When we have time we will try posting something with a much lower resolution instead of the 1920x1080 we have been using. If we were all connected with 200Mbps fiber it would be much nicer...
