I was finally able to get my site online. It's just clips for now. The footage was my first time out with the HVX. It just so happened that NEPA was in a state of flood emergency. I wasn't able to access heavily damaged areas and the footage I have was with the HVX right out of the box. No tripod, or anything. Just 2 4 gig P2 cards.
After the rain and flooding, when the sun started shining, I decided to get some footage of areas with colorful flowers. When I sat down with the footage and my new FCP Quad core G5, I thought about the folks that had been flooded and lost belongings, their home, etc., but they kept going on with life. So...I thought I'd show a few scenes from the heavy rains mixed with a "brighter day" kind of message.
So this is my first at everything. The HVX, FCP, my cheesy LiveType intro, and DVD Studio Pro(HDDVD). I messed around with some slow mo and sped up the water in a few scenes.
I call it "Beauty and the Beast" and I posted a sample on my site. Let me know what you think. Again, this is very basic and more of a test than anything else.
