Hi I`m new about working with 35mm adaptors. I`m thinking of getting a letus35 flip enhanced adapter. It comes with ability to handle either Canon fd or Nikon A1. What are anybody`s reccomendations about which to get. If I were to buy the one that handles the Canon FD lenses what would be a good lens to get to start with?

Try to get a Canon 50mm 1.4 and a 35mm or 28mm f2.0 from Canon or Vivitar - Vivitar is much cheaper and delivers the same Quality.
There is also a fast Vivitar 2.8 35-80 Zoom out there which gives very good results at daylight.

The Letus35 Flip Enhanced model comes with BOTH canon and nikon mounts... they are interchangable.
I agree a 50mm 1.4 is the best all around. A good first lens.
The Cavision Rod Support System for Mini DV works with the Letus.

I have a Canon FD 50mm f1.2 which is quite nice. Canon lenses are generally a little cheaper than the Nikon ones because the no longer use the mount for their cameras. You should start out with three lenses (either Nikon or Canon) 24mm. 50mm and 85mm is a good set of primes to start with.

I had a 50/1.2 here from a friend, but I found it is nearly impossible to get a proper focus, even on slight moving objects - F 1.4 it is already very hard.
A 1.2 FD sells for ~180 EUR or more ( the great aspherical L- Series for over 600 EUR ), a equal quality 1.4 SSC you can get for 40 - 60 EUR.
The difference 1.2 - 1.4 is not that great, IMO you can save the additional money.

If you have luck you can get a 1.4 28 mm FD for 150 EUR, this is must be great.

I am looking for a 2.0 or better 28 - xx Zoom, but it seems something like this doesn´t exist.
