Has anyone used their camera for time lapse work? Is there an intervolemeter type device that can control it for this application?
View Full Version : XL H1 Time Lapse Vince Gaffney July 5th, 2006, 11:59 AM Has anyone used their camera for time lapse work? Is there an intervolemeter type device that can control it for this application? Pete Bauer July 5th, 2006, 12:28 PM With the XL H1, the interval feature has been moved from the camera itself to the optional Canon Console software (about $600). I'm not aware of any third party hardware device that will do interval control; maybe someone else knows of something? Chris Hurd July 5th, 2006, 12:30 PM I suppose the lack of an intervalometer is a limitation of the HDV format. No HDV camcorder has this feature. Charles Perkins July 5th, 2006, 12:39 PM i've done a few. i'll post .movs later tonight. Vince Gaffney July 5th, 2006, 12:56 PM thanks. looking forward to it. Charles Perkins July 7th, 2006, 04:47 AM hey. this is just a short timelaps. its 30 seconds domwn from 15 minutes. i was waiting ot film some golf at a driving range and got this before we started. http://www.runjumpfly.net/stock/cloudtimelapse1.mov right click, save as please. (88mb) edit: change the link. it works now Vincent Rozenberg July 7th, 2006, 05:37 AM Your link does'nt work.. Tony Davies-Patrick July 8th, 2006, 07:30 AM Charles - the timelapse footage seems far too 'bitty and juddery' to my eye. The clouds just do not move smoothly enough across the sky. Steven Dempsey July 10th, 2006, 05:39 PM I've posted this before, I just did it for fun....shot in real time and sped up in post: http://media.dvinfo.net/xlh1/cloud_timelapse.wmv |
