Ive been looking around and there seems to be some serious workflow issues with HDV and DV in FCP.

I am working on a project at the moment. Its a DV project, and i've imported an HDV clip into the bin - not the timeline. I'll launch the HDV clip in the Viewer and mark my ins and outs and then export to uncompressed 8 bit.

My question is which field order do i use, or more so, when do i change field order?

I have currently been exporting upper field and then once in the dv project, making the clip lower field. However, this is resulting in a a bit of flicker. Any ideas?

thanks for that Jeff, I thought going from HDV to DV would yield somewhat better results anyway.

Perhaps my footage was lax
