David Fletcher July 2nd, 2006, 10:22 PM Nice Albert ! I really like it, it looks great . Very atmospheric.
Marcus Marchesseault July 3rd, 2006, 04:59 AM My personal taste would say to take the color, filter, and DOF effect down a notch. Regardless, that is not what is important. I think it is nice little piece with good editing and shooting that also happens to look good. Good job and "Hana Hou"! (Hawaiian for "encore!") I think most shorts could benefit from simplicity and good storytelling. This short seemed like a piece in an art museum where it captures your interest for a moment, communicates it's feeling, and then the moment is over. Short and sweet is good. BTW, you forgot to list the girl in the credits and that was the cutest part (I don't want to spoil it so I am being vague).
Tom Chaney July 6th, 2006, 04:16 AM Albert,
Nice work. I like the look, how was it added, Magic Bullet or just color correction?

Albert Rudnicki July 6th, 2006, 09:46 AM Thanks Tom
The color was done with both: MB and after effects(basic color correction and patches)
Marcus :
I agree with you, I have pushed it a bit, but it was mainly done as a test to show capabilities of the equipment I have.
I am prepping for a small (small) budget features movie and I have to convince a lot of people what can be achieved with video.
David:
thank you

Michael Y Wong August 22nd, 2006, 09:07 AM Albert, that was incredible!
I am in disbelief that your little short is not film! Amazing mastery of all the 'tricks' for the filmic look.
My question is, what did you do to acheieve the film-ic frame rate?
I am now seiruosly considering getting an M2 for my HC1
Michael
Ben Scott August 22nd, 2006, 01:29 PM I thought it look astonishing. Well done fella.
Also starting to think we need a central place for us to post our Magic Bullet settings. Also think I need to start shooting with 35mm lenses!

Magic Bullet de-interlaces 60i footage and also converts it to 24 frames/sec.
Michael Y Wong August 23rd, 2006, 04:51 PM Thank you! My film school collegues have recommended that program to me tons of times but I never did try it out.
Gyuri Grell September 14th, 2006, 01:00 PM Nice, I really enjoyed it. Looking forward to the next one ;-)

Phil Bloom October 30th, 2006, 01:13 PM Really REALLY nice Albert
Terrific handling of the gear, lovely editing, nice grading. Very impressive.
How do you find the M2, sharp? any artificats? much light loss?
Just ordered one after some bad experiences with my Letus Flip.
