hello,

i'll be shooting a music video with the Sony HVR-Z1 in a few weeks. i've used the camera a few times, but i have very little experience getting "fancy" with it. i've used it to shoot some interviews and basic stuff...but i'd like to get more stylish with the music video, so i'm looking for some suggestions.

i'd like the music video (black and white, simple performance type video) to have a VERY washed out appearance. i'm going to be saturating the room with as much light as possible. the band will be dressed in all white, and the room will be all white. i'm looking for high contrast, extremely washed out, gritty, and angelic. having never even used the Sony HVR-Z1 in manual modes, what suggestions to people have for me? oh, and a short depth of field would be helpful, too.
