Maybe I missed this discussion, but this camera seems like it easily fit the range of a high end wedding videographer, and have some serious appeal for clients who could afford it in larger markets.
Are you guys doing anything at weva?

I don't see a lot of interest over in the WEVA forums regarding the SI camera, but I'd guess people would be happy to see it demonstrated in Las Vegas in August. For wedding work in particular the SI camera is out of the price range most videographers consider realistic these days, given how little most couples are willing to pay for a wedding video. There is a niche market for high-end video using better cameras, but even many high-end wedding videographers use basic PD170-level cameras. By the way, low light sensitivity will be a major issue for any HD camera maker presenting to WEVA, because that's a big hang-up right now for event work.
Anyone care to speculate on what the performance of the SI-1920 will be like in a near-dark reception hall?

I would venture to say that this is not one of our ealy adopter target markets :-) !
Our current direction will push us up the quality, performance, and resolution curves for Digital Cinema and HD productions. We dont see very many weddings being shot on S16 or 35mm film to convert to Silicon users.
