is it shot with film? HD?
View Full Version : what is law and order shot in? Ernesto Llano June 24th, 2006, 09:01 PM is it shot with film? HD? Daniel Wang June 24th, 2006, 11:42 PM I cant be completely sure but odds are, like most things: Shot on 35mm film, telecine'd to high end tape format (DigiBeta, HD-SR, DVCPro50 etc) for coloring, mastered to high-end tape format, then to wide format to distribution: BetaSP odds are... but like most begins on 35mm. Only if it's mentioned, you hear about sitcom/primetime shows on "new" formats. (The Old Adventures of New Christine - Sony F900, The Office - XDCam(?), Rockstar:INXS - XDCam, Everybody Hates Chris - Viper FilmStream) it's much easier to Telecine to HD, and you get your choice of the great 35mm cameras - ususally Panavision or Arri. Ernesto Llano June 24th, 2006, 11:43 PM never mind, I found it on wikipedia. It's shot on film, and since 2003 they switched to 16:9 from 4:3 Edit: Thanks for your reply, I didn't see it because we posted at the same time. |
