Thanks Boyd Ostroff June 24th, 2006, 09:06 AM The Prelinger archive has quite a bit of stuff, but depends on what you mean by "decent resolution." It's fairly low res, however I used a lot of it last summer projected on a 25 foot wide screen with a 10,000 lumen projector in a sequence for "The Ride of the Valkyries" from the opera "Die Walküre" in Buenos Aires. The reviewers liked it... but I was using it in an "artsy" way so your mileage may vary: http://www.archive.org/details/prelinger Also consider doing "pan and scan" on still images - there are places to download these for free at high resolution, like the Library of Congress. Here's a good starting place for that: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_domain_image_resources |
