I have the 101e , in the viewfinder the audio levels display yellow bars sometimes and red , now i know the red is too loud, but what is the yellow, i am finding it hard montoring the audio levels.
The little montior control beside the peaking control, should it be turned up or down, once i had it turned up and i thought the sound was fine until i heard it on the timeline-it was so low. so if anyone can advise me on the levels in the lcd viewer and the monitor control that would be great

You should have your sound levels between -20 and -12 db on your meter. Peaking at - 12 db gives you some headroom.

Look at the meter in the viewfinder and check where the coloured bars appear relative to those levels. Your camera is set at the broadcast standard - 20 db zero level tone, as against -12 db, so that may change levels where the level colours are appearing.

You set the monitor out for comfortable hearing levels in your headphones, it doesn't effect the recording levels.
