Hello all,
I am definitely buying an HD100 (or 110) in the next few weeks.
I have read all the info I can find as well as many of the threads here. I am left with a couple of questions maybe someone can answer for me.
Does the HD100 do SD in 16:9? (Is all video, HD and HDV, no matter the framerate and resolution, 16:9? or is some 4:3?)
Does the HD100 do SD in 60p? or is SD also a max of 30p, like HDV? In other words, can I get high quality slow motion in SD (like will be available for HDV with the HD200?)
When shooting 30p I read that there is a setting that blends frames to get a look closer to 60p. My question is, when shooting in this blending mode (or is it a playback mode?) are half the frames still without the "double image" -- so clean stills can be pulled out, or all the frames blended.
I do cinema verite. I have shot a lot super 8 and some 16 and super 16. I plan to shoot 24p with the HD100. However, I read in threads that the 24p looks "jerky." I am not sure I understand this. Film shot at 24 frames does not look jerky. Is there something about the character of the video at 24p that makes it look jerky as compared to film?
Thank you in advance for your answers. These are questions I can't get clear in my mind
