i m Mr.cheap! i have a celeron 800 pc and i try to do something great with HDV. so i use CapDVHS to capture HDV from both Sony and JVC.
then use virtualdub Meg2to open it.
save as image sequences. (BMP or TGA)

now, anyone say i only work with quicktime... FCP or AVID. i save as quicktime and send to them.

PC... well, dont bother just give them the image sequences and tell them to open it and name the FPS they want.

let me know if any editing software doesn;t take images sequences

Yeah, it is stupid , no codec no nothing, but uncompress images sequences perhapsthe most versatile way to handle it.

HDis cheap and space is plenty.
