What is PN (native format) exactly mean? And what is the difference between PN and PA when it comes down to the pull-down conversion?
I know 24PA has a pull-down of 2:3:3:2, what about PN? Working with my ag-dvx100 I know that advanced pull-down is better but I'm looking to upgrade to the HVX200 and would like some clarification on PN. Thanks.

PN means that the footage is 23.98..24fps native. No pulldown to remove...23.98 from the get go. 24P and 24PA are formats that are shot at 29.97 with pulldown that needs to be removed.

24PA can only be recorded onto P2 cards. The firestore cannot record 24PN.

Shooting and editing in 24pN from HVX-200 to FCP is easy and the image looks fantastic. Going 24p to DVD looks very good.
