A few weeks ago I get my first XL-h1, but after a few day working with it, the built in rechargeable Li battery (for the memory and date and time) wasn't work. After 48 hours powering the camcaorder with the power dial at off (like canon told me in the instruction manual). After that, the Li battery wasn't work.

Canon gives me a new camera, but now after three days the Li battery doesn't work. Any time when I switch from battery I lost my menu settings. Do I anything wrong, who can help me. I don't believe there a two camera's with a broken battery into it.

Thanks a lot,

this is a dumb question, but did you check and make sure there was no plastic between the battery and the terminal? If I recall correctly sometimes they ship the camera with a piece of plastic covering the battery so it doesn't drain it.

short of that I don't knwo what to tell you, you may want to buy a replacement battery and see how long that lasts to make sure it's not something with the camera.
