Can you make a DVD loop so that it plays it's contents over and over with no real stoppage?

I am doing a picture slideshow for my sister's open house, and I would like to loop the pictures over and over without burning it in a loop (say 4 or 5 times in a row on the DVD) which would come out to about an hour of burned footage. Tat would take a while on my Powerbook, and would need a lot of HD space to render. Plus we would also have to restart it (we have a million other things to do) So, is there any way to have the DVD loop?

I have DVD Studio Pro, and iDVD. SP doesn't like my laptop very much (it ruins DVD's frequently). so I would prefer to use iDVD.

Thanks tons!

You can definitely make a DVD loop, in DVD Studio Pro, you just define a action to perform after that track is finished.. and it will play it after it is finished.

Another, easier and simply solution is to just look for a set-top dvd player that have the repeat title/repeat track function.

The only thing I didn't like about the first solution is this:

Say your video is only 3 minutes long...it is a heck of a lot of "abuse" to the player when you have it "jump" after it is finished that many times continuously.

Sometimes, you may just want to make a thirty minute, sixty minute of the same thing--Hard Drive space be damned.

Edit: In Studio Pro...you import the assets, the sound aiff or AC-3 file plus your MPEG2 file.

Place into a new project and on the assets on the time-line.

You will probably to want define something like, upon insertion of DVD play track one.

When finished[end jump] choose the same track again.
