Anybody see this on Discovery? They're on the Bering Sea, fishing for crab, and it blows me away what they go thru. Blizzards with huge ice buildup, huge seas and windstorms and on and on. Couple nights ago they had a rogue wave smash into a boat, almost capsize it and certainly knock it on its side for a while.
Then you've got these cameramen shooting in these conditions...From the few glimpses I get it looks like they're shooting with DVX's. It's a great show, to watch...

yes been following the series since the first season last year. These guys are truly insane!!

They're shooting with the Panasonic DVC-30 with the XLR adaptor and a shotgun.

Ahh... the things you notice while watching television. Really great quality on the video though, which is one of the reasons why I'm thinking of picking up a DVC-30.
