Ok...not so much worried about the tape, but what about the battery release? This is my second Bogen quick release head and I would have to remove the quick release plate itself to replace the battery. What a crappy design (both Sony and Bogen...Sony should have done a top release like their mini cams) to make it so long. Does anyone have a solution to this? I have the following:

Disregard. The adapter sold by Jeff works for this. Did not work to enable my tape release with the tripod head, but battery works fine.
