View Full Version : 35mm HD video blog from VileKyle.com
Kyle Fasanella May 23rd, 2006, 10:11 PM This is new video I created with my 35mm adapter. Its footage collected from my life so I suppose you could call it a video blog. I’m looking for ways to improve it before I release it. Any other criticism is welcome.

Rafael Lopes May 24th, 2006, 12:39 AM You have some beautiful footage there. I can see you achieved a very cinematic look with the Z1. Your adapter rocks hard! Ever thought of going into the adapter business? What lenses did you use? How about color correction, what was done there?
Kyle Fasanella May 24th, 2006, 02:43 AM I shoot on it now. currently doing channel Frederator Commericals. used 1.4 50mm. color correction I like a lot of contrast.
Rafael Lopes May 24th, 2006, 03:37 AM How about the adapter? Did you build it your self? Is it static? Vibrating? This is one of the best 35mm adapter footage I've seen. It's very sharp, grain free, with no color aberration, barrel distorion or anything. I'm very interested in finding out more.
Kyle Fasanella May 24th, 2006, 10:26 AM I bought the redrock 35mm adapter. its a spinning gg.
Rafael Lopes May 24th, 2006, 10:59 AM The redrock? Really? How did you shoot all those handheld shots? I thought you had to always shoot with a tripod with redrock. Redrock is kicking some serious ass, but this mobility issue was what always worried me. Tell me, how did you manage the hand held work?
Kyle Fasanella May 24th, 2006, 12:06 PM seems everyone uses tripods when useing the redrock but I just pick it up with rails and everything and just hand held it. I was ok at handheld before the redrock. I say dont listen to people pick up the camera and just shoot
James OClaire June 4th, 2006, 06:28 PM Hey, really really good clips. How long did you spend collecting them? I guess that's the same as asking how long you've been doing this. I like this movie so much, and the Sigur Ros soundtrack is just perfect. I have a final coming (movie class) that this really inspired me for.
How did you get such awesome looking colors for everything? Does that have more to do with your lense or color correcting.
Anders Smettli June 15th, 2006, 05:13 PM Beautiful, I loved it. The music with the dialogue, the whole atmosphere!
And that squirrel is damn cute :)
Anthony Mooney June 16th, 2006, 08:10 PM That was very good. I would prefer more wide angle sky and nature, and close-up on faces. This way it would relate the big picture of "outthere" with the "individual" and how he or she perceives the world.
Also, babies, kids, and microscopic shoots of "life".
