Here is some test footage I shot over at my friends house. Nothing terribly exciting. It's not exactly great footage, but it does show you what the letus can achieve with minimal lighting. The only source of light in this clip is daylight coming through a window. I used 24mm,35mm, 50mm and 80mm Canon FD lenses. Gain was set to zero. I have not altered the footage in anyway. Although it looks alot more flat and washed out on the computer monitor than it does on my JVC CRT monitor.

the footage looks good tony but a little dark for my tastes.. ive been editing my short for the past two days and during the shoot light loss was never a problem, indoors or outdoors. i just bought a 55mm 1.2 nikkor off ebay and am excited to try that out..

The latitude is pretty good on the XL2 considering it's a DV based camera. I find even if you under expose a little you can always up the brightness and contrast in post. Also, under exposing with the Letus XL tends to make for a sharper picture. IMHO

A fast 50mm/55mm definitely comes in handy. I've got a Canon FD 50mm f1.2 it's amazing.

The indoor footage was deliberately dark because I wanted to test the limits of the adapter in a situation like that. I like lights trust me. :)
