I assume that there will be a new VTR replacing the BRHD-50 to playback the 50/60fps rate used by the new mpeg encoders on the upcoming HD200/250 series cameras.
As a note to anyone at JVC, you could walk away with the HDV VTR market if your new mpeg encoder could also record and playback the "other" flavor of HDV as well. Namely Sony's 1080i(50/60).
One of the main problems with HDV as a concept is the lack of compatability from the different HDV formats. If you made one feeder deck that could play and record both main formats, you would certainly fill a big hole in the market place.
Perhaps even just an optional add-in card for 1080i on your new deck?
