I have followed the instruction on apple white paper and shane's videos but still getting error. I copy the files from each P2 card to my hard drive into a folder containing the Contents folder and the last clip.txt. when i attempt to import i get the icon and clip info up but when actually importing I get 'one or more P2 clips failed to import; probable incomplete or corrupt clips.' I'm using final cut 5.1.1.
please anyone who can offer suggestions. thanks.

Are you using a supported format? Have you fully updated your Apple?

Yeah, being in Australia did you shoot 720p25?

That format isn't supported at this time.

I can only suggest one more thing... for some reason I have a problem trying to import clips via the front firewire port in my G5. If I use the rear firewire port, I get no errors. But, as Shane points out, 720 25 is going to be a problem.

All footage was shot 720p25pn at 50 frames. Am i stuffed? I did also dubbed to dv as a back up but i really wanted to edit in the better format. If i keep the files when will there be future support? cheers.

Yes. Sorry but you are stuffed. 25PN is not supported by FCP at this time.

Soon, but not now.
