View Full Version : Shot with me new XL2 Dave Coyne May 18th, 2006, 10:54 PM I know it's tough to appreciate compressed but though ya might enjoy. http://youtube.com/watch?v=qBpQlmS_7Tk Cheers, -DCLugi Andrew Todd May 18th, 2006, 11:59 PM that was awesome.. whos the actor? Bob Zimmerman May 19th, 2006, 03:09 AM That was good. Tony Davies-Patrick May 19th, 2006, 03:20 AM Ha Ha! LOL! - Great stuff, Dave...I loved it. Bob Safay May 19th, 2006, 03:56 AM Damn funny and really entertaining. A lot of laughs. Thanks. Bob Colin Jones May 19th, 2006, 08:27 AM Very funny. What kind of lighting did you use to get the shots? To my amatuer eye it looked very good. Colin Dave Coyne May 19th, 2006, 09:16 AM Glad to supply the world with a laugh or two. Lighting was pretty basic to match the green screen. It was a solo effort so that's me from script to screen in a small apartment. Got to get out more. Cheers, -dave Bob Zimmerman May 19th, 2006, 09:29 AM It's one of those I wasn't thinking how it looked, because the actor and jokes keep me going. I wouldn't put much more of your stuff on youtube, since they own it after you post. Or at least they can use it without your permission. I would second Bob's advice if that is the case. Dave's sketches are lot better than half the cr*p on TV lately, so it would be far wiser for Dave to host his own website with future footage covered with copyright. At least (hopefully) Dave didn't send the higher res footage to youtube. Meryem Ersoz May 19th, 2006, 01:07 PM that was good! really funny! Bob Zimmerman May 19th, 2006, 02:45 PM Is that true? At least (hopefully) Dave didn't send the higher res footage to youtube. I was reading a post somewhere maybe DVX users and the way they were talking you give the people at youtube.com the right to use whatever you post. It's in the small print. So if you write a song even and post it they can use it. Something to check into if your posting there. Bob Zimmerman May 19th, 2006, 03:35 PM this is what it says, plus a lot of other crap. I'm not a lawyer but it sounds like it can be used by other people Dave Coyne May 19th, 2006, 09:36 PM Many thanks for the info. I guess at this point I'm just an artist looking for exposure. Ive snagged a couple of gigs and have had interest from a huge agency in LA from the youtube clips. When I really get a show going I'll be more careful where I expose myself. (insert joke here) Cheers, -Dave Bob Zimmerman May 19th, 2006, 09:58 PM You have to been seen somehow right. I got a good laugh out of your clip. Dale Guthormsen May 21st, 2006, 12:25 AM I laughed awefully hard watching you satire!!!\ good job. Greg Boston May 21st, 2006, 07:46 AM Many thanks for the info. My other half said the Pesci mannerisms aren't quite as polished as Nicholson, but the voice is dead on. Maybe you should pull the video off of YouTube because I see in the license terms posted above that the license terminates when you remove the content. Keep us posted on your professional progress. regards, -gb- Greg Boston May 21st, 2006, 08:07 AM Ohh Dave, I see you're holding out on us. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AFnzKDFD9To Also good for some laughs. Shot with the XL2 as well? -gb- Tim Bickford May 21st, 2006, 01:28 PM Dave- That's some good stuff. I enjoyed it very much! Thanks Eric Brown May 21st, 2006, 04:42 PM Dave, spot on and hilarious impersonations! Get some serious drive behind that talent and you'll do very well. Dave Coyne May 21st, 2006, 06:55 PM Yes Greg, also shot on the XL2. I was annoyed by the hot spot in the back so I wasn't so proud of it. Thanks for all the feedback. I've been in the Biz of show for a while and it's a tough racket though I've been moderately successlful. I've sold some stuff to IFC a while back and hosted a Discovery seg for a couple years but I'm only now taking advantage of the internet. Cheers, -dave Chris Bottrell May 31st, 2006, 04:14 PM That is the funniest thing i have seen in a while, you realy have a talent. George Josol June 11th, 2006, 11:05 AM That was excellent! - You did it all? Awesome job! George- Bin Chen June 11th, 2006, 12:31 PM Hilarious!! The Walken was eerily spot on Roger Rosales June 12th, 2006, 02:41 PM Everybody loves Walken, but noone gives him credit for Bush! That was hilarious. "If you mean if I"ve entered a competition where the american people vote for the winner...No." Great stuff man. Adam Bray June 12th, 2006, 08:24 PM this is what it says, plus a lot of other crap. It's just jib-jab so you can't clain they owe you royalties when they air it. |
