I see that the trasistion in Adobe 6.5 is a black out type fading. Is there a way to make it a white fading? If so, how do you do it?

Just create a white still to put under it. I suggest that you use 235,235,235 instead of 255,255,255.

What do you mean by the numbers?

Colors in Premiere are RGB (Red, Green, Blue).

Black would be the absence of color: Red = 0, Blue=0, Green=0

But, pure black causes trouble in North American television (NTSC)

So, you should select a color that is not quite as black, or 16,16,16.

White is total saturation of all 3 colors, or, the maximum being 255, white is 255,255,255 - which is too white for TV. So, you take a bit off and make it 235,235,235.

In the titler, or in Photoshop, or even in most paint programs, you can choose the colors by typing in the RGB numbers.
