Just got the camera 2 days back - I havent explored all buttons - but isnt audio supposed to recorded by default?

The video records fine - but I just dont hear any audio - (either in playback or in the computer). When I capture using Liquid - it does create 2 sound files - which are just silent... I tried PPro2, there is a sound track, but is silent.

is there something i need to check or push a button to record audio? (yes - mic is connected to XLR)

I noticed the same problem when I fired mine up. The issue is that the microphone supplied with the camera requires phantom power. So you need to switch your "Audio Input" switch to "Mic +48v"
