Howdy...

I've mentioned my video podcast on here before, but I thought you might be interested to see the latest episode, where all the ads were made using Ultra, and for the first time (for us) shot with HDV, and converted to Cineform, then brought into Ultra and key'd and scaled down to 480x270.

I thought the keys came out better than the previous that were shot on DV...

Let me know your thoughts...

Very nicely done. Looks like a good quality video podcast- same quality as CNN is producing and similar to the other "top" videocasts currently running- again nice job!

(Which HDV camera?)

Thanks for the kind words.

We're currently using a Sony Z1 HDV camera for the show, recording with HDV Rack. I'd like to try a Cannon XL-H1 sometime, since I hear that pixel for pixel, it's the sharpest HDV cam out there. Don't have the $8K right now, however :-)

Best,

Benjamin

I think your footage is sharp as is. Once you compress the footage for streaming or downloading you're bound to lose some of the sharpness the XL is going to give you- I vote for keeping the Z1U.

I use a FX and find its sharpness very pleasing.
Good job- excellent idea reagrding your content, I'm keeping your site bookmarked.

(By the way- your co-host is beautiful!!!!)
