Hello,
I need some friendly advice on filming with 2 cameras. We're using 24p and 16:9 setup. One inside scene involves movement from 4 actors. We're using the over the shoulder technique a little in the scene. When filming, is it safe to have the shotgun and wireless mike coming from (1) camera or is it better to have (1) camera setup with the shotgun and the other camera with the wireless? There is an outside scene involving several actors also that has similar issues. We're concerned about the audio for the final cut.
Any help will be appreciative.

I think it depends. If there's a chance something will go wrong with one camera, I'd put one mic on each camera. However, it can be more convenient to have both mics on the same camera so one personal can control and be in charge of the audio levels.

Hi there

For the last year or so shooting with 2 Xl2's is what I have been doing all the time... one with a shotgun and the other with a wireless mic. I have been shooting interviews rather than drama, so have only been trying to capture sound from one main source, and it has always worked out fine. I normaly use a mix from the two mics to get the sound I am looking for.
Do you have all four of the actors wired up?
