I have used it. What do you want to know about
it? What is your planned use of it?

I want better audio from the person talking. I plan to just mic one person. Hows the quality of the audio?

The biggest problem with the Samson is lack of additional channels to transmit on. Each unit comes programmed to one frequency only. If there is ANY radio interference on that channel, you will probably not be able to use the mic.

Check out the Sampson Micro 32. About $100 more, but has 32 channels to pick from, and diversity reciever to boot. Diversity receivers actually have two receivers in the box, and continually monitor both to see which has the strongest signal, usually resulting in more usable audio.

How close to it need to be to get a decent pick up??

I guess theres that saying.....what you paid for is what you get.
