Hey guys,

I’m kinda new here and need help.

On Wednesday, I’m giving a presentation to my class at Uni on “digital cinema”.

I’m wanna use some facts in my presentation and I just need answer for the following questions if anyone can help me with them:

1. How much would 100mins (or 1 minute) of 35mm film cost?

2. How much would 100mins (or 1 minute) of 16mm film cost?

3. What is the resolution of 35mm film?

4. What is the resolution of 16mm film?

Thanks to any replies. Truly appreciate it. ;)

35mm and 16mm doesn't really has resolution because it's analog.
But digital cinema will be able to top it.
RED will have more then enough resolution to equal 35mm and 16mm.

I think 5 minutes of 16mm costs about 200 dollar, including processing.
Well, in Belgium it does.
I don't know how much 35mm costs, but I think it's a LOT more.
Other people here will answer that better.

Also think at of your shooting ratio. When you shoot a film, you shoot sometimes 10 times as much as your total film, so for a movie of 100 minutes you would maybe have 1000 minutes of footage.
