Ok, I promise this is my last 'Canon you're slow to the market with new stuff' vent.

But I'm looking at their website http://consumer.usa.canon.com/ir/controller?act=ProductCatIndexAct&fcategoryid=102 and if you look at the third tere of video cameras, hehe, the 100,200,300, etc........ that's a little rediculous.

And I suppose this is the reason we have no Gl3!

and if I was going to buy a new camcorder for family stuff, I'd buy a Sony anyway. I guess the big money is in those kind of camera's but isn't the GL2 old enough? Hasn't technolgy advanced in the last 4 years? Maybe Canon isn't going to offer anything to replace the GL2. We will see after the rebate is up,,,unless they extented it again.
