Hi guys,

Thank you for being so helpful on my usaphotonation.com question.
Searching on B&H ,for a professional camcorder I noticed AG-DVC7 -1,049.95$

What do you think on this one?-quality (has 1CCD)etc... . I stick on a 3CCD camcorder but again the price for a tight budget seems good.
Thank you all.

You can't beat the quality of the GL-2 for the price. I wouldn't go with a single chip.

Eric has a good point Todd. The GL-2 is a great starter cam for its price. If you can't afford a new one you can hunt around and find a quality used one for even less. I'd also suggest staying away from a single chip. The quality (especially in the color and detail) won't be there. I know it's tempting to go for the cheaper option, but in the end it will help you much more to get the better cam.

When I was deciding last year whether to get the GL-2 or the DVX100A I didn't let my wallet do the talking. I finally settled on the DVX (and this is just an example) because I liked the progressive imaging and other features that the camera had. So decide which camera you like and that will meet your needs and go for it. Good luck.

1/4" Single CCD? It's an SD handycam with a lot of extra plastic.

Yes, you made it clear! No quality and a lot of plastic. I would like to buy a XL2 or a JVC GY-HD100U.I am not sure which one is the best.Thank you again you guys!!
