What would be the best matte box/filter holder for hd -100?
I want to get rid of unwanted light flares and add some warm and soft filters.

I was wanting to use those screw on tiffin filters but
getting bad glares on the len. So, I got that matte
box from 16x9 and it really cleans up the look of things.
The sun shade and side "barn door" flaps are wonderful.
16x9 is expensive but the quality is in their product.

I believe that 16x9 sells Chroziel equipment.

Have a look at Cavision in Canada. I use the 16:9 two stage with side barns and eyebroe. I think it comes in a tad cheaper than the croziel. I've also seen it on some JVC promo stuff here in Uk. Hope this helps.

Take a look at the Petroff line, excellent quality, good price. Cavision is the most cost-effective but lacks the adjustable sides on the French flag and at the tops of the side wings like Petroff and Chroziel have. 4x4 filter frames do not vignette even when rotated, but I got the 16x9 box anyway (4x5.65). All filter stages rotate on Petroff, not on Chroziel.

Yes I'm using the Cavision 2 stage (1 rotating; 1 fixed) with the bellows - it's not as expensive as the Chrozeil but it does the job (the Chrozeil does have some advantages I believe - better french flag, more robust). Do a search there are a couple of threads already here on matteboxes.

I got a cute little mattebox / filter stage from Cavision for 4x4 filters - also a neutral density grad, a orange grad and a great polarizer, all for 3000 yuan, which is about 420 bucks Canadian, 340 US. There's no cutoff even on the widest angle when you rotate the stage. It clips right onto the front of the lens, so you don't need the miniature rails either. Works great, isn't too front-heavy.

That sounds like what I want and at that price is right.

I use the Formatt Matte Box. It's cheap and will fit all internal focus lenses from PD150s to the 2/3" lens on my DSR500. Just stipulate you want the 82mm ring adapter for the HD100 Fuji lens. Will take 4x4 and 4x5 filters. Loads on UK ebay, try this link
