I thought it might be fun to post links to outtakes. But maybe we should wait until the judging is over. I don't want to lose votes when people see just how big an asshole I am during the shoot. Any interest?

Yeah that could be good. Just let the illusion last till after decisions are final. I might need to get the tone generator working to beep out a few words though.

funny you mention that - when we finished editing our entry, we decided to take all our mistakes and make a blooper reel - I can post it if people show interest

Hahaha! Think you could be a little more direct there, Dick? Hilarious!

Outtakes are my favorite part of any production. Post 'em!!! (As soon as the judging is complete, of course.) :)

I'll try to go through some footage and see what's in there.

Pretty sure I have this part where I keep trying to say "You've just been educated!" and those darn billy bob puck teeth kept falling out! lol

Best Wishes~

Hilarious? I was being serious. It really is appalling how short and snippy I get with the actors. I simply must do something to become a better human being.

We do a bloopers after everything we shoot. Just part of the editing process to see all of the 'imperfections' in the work. I would love to post one and to see others.

Sorry to say, I am so serious on "the set" that I have no outtakes that would be of interest to anyone. Unless you want to watch me walk into and out of frame over and over that is? I thought so.

maybe I should do something funny one day? I do have a take where I walk right into the camera looking down the lens until all you see is out of focus eyeball but that's not so funny either really.

Maybe if I had a cast?

Ah well. I'll watch everyone elses though. I'm betting some of you guys had some great takes.

Disclaimer: Don't read or watch what's in this post if you haven't voted yet! :)

Here's my favorite outtake. It's not really an outtake as we used the audio in the film, but I think it's funny viewing. This shows you what a fine actor our lead, Jason Gordon, really is. Good job, Jason! And Jason, if you find this too embarrassing, let me know and I'll take it down. :)

Here is an outtake of a scene that had to be cut from the film due to time.
I do not have any funny ones with flubbed lines or actors walking into things, however here is one where the cinematographer forgot to tighten the vertical adjustment.
Watch the eyes of the girl in the mural in relation to the top of the screen.

William - That's excellent! Yes. Great job Jason! What kind of mic do you have there?

Bill H. - Oops!

Chris - Those are hilarious!

Philip - Fun! (You have some nice shots in there)

I found a few bloopers and outtakes today. Scary to think that no one was around. I might need a session on the couch.

I finally voted this morning so I felt free to watch the outtakes and make my own. It's a nice rainy morning for sitting on the couch, cuddling with the dog, and doing a little editing. Until she started barking because she kept hearing my voice say come when she was already sitting on my lap. If a dog can give a dirty look that's it. And that's before she noticed the strange dog on my laptop monitor. Then I got the stranger alert bark. Clearly she's not as smart as I made her look.

Enjoy:

Hey Lorinda and Hugh,

That was a great outtake reel! "No actors are allowed to get drunk the night before a shoot". Isn't that what it says in your notes Lorinda? Hugh, if I ever get a chance to visit back East, I hope I can come hang out with you and your friends. Don't want to get chewed up and spit out on the streets. At least your friends don't know how to open a knife. I might have a chance.

Kris- Blue is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever seen! I love the way she takes off. You sure did a great job directing. I can see how there were several trying moments there. "Oh great-now there's no one walking by" lol

Best Wishes~

Sometimes fear keeps us alive.

The thought did cross my mind, "if the horse kills me, this video is going to be worth something!"

Hey Dick,

That was a fun outtake reel! Thanks for posting it.

Method acting-feel the warmth. lol

I think that horse was just feeling frisky-not out to do anyone in. Great shot!

Best wishes~
